Lance Swank has been developing residential properties in the Boston area since 1999. In an era of quick rehabs and vinyl siding blight, Lance prefers to renovate properties with attention to historical details using more traditional materials. The Swank Apartments building project – a gut rehab – brings together the high-efficiency of modern materials and construction processes with a commitment to saving or recreating original architectural and interior details. Lance’s renovations to residential properties highlight and preserve these items but often also bring dramatic new design to the properties’ more pedestrian features.
During the Swank Apartments building rehabilitation, Lance considered the need for cost-effective short-term furnished housing in Boston. Outfitting the four units with comfortable and luxurious appointments to compliment the restored Victorian style of the building, Lance has created a personalized, at-home environment. Visitors to Boston seeking a furnished apartment without the corporate, hotel-room-like feel of most furnished rentals will find themselves more at home in Lance’s spaces.
Lance holds an MBA degree from of the F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College. He lives and invests in the City of Boston.
